How pricing works

Every experience shows a price and a unit. Most activities are priced per person. Some, though, are priced per group or per boat, and that cost is split among everyone. The cycling beer boat for 8 to 11 people is €572 for the boat, and a private mini yacht is €396 for a boat that takes 5. The bigger the group, the less each person pays.

All prices include VAT. If a service has a minimum group size and there are fewer of you, you pay for the minimum. The party beer bus is €68 per person, but a group smaller than 10 pays for ten. That is why it pays to pin down numbers early.

Budget weekend: beer, games and a pub crawl

A cheap weekend does not have to be a dull one. On Friday, start with a tasting of seven Czech beers with an expert for €40 (minimum 5 people), then join the pub crawl with an open bar for €28. For dinner, a Czech pub with a private room does the job: goulash, beer and strudel come to roughly €36.

On Saturday afternoon, play giant beer pong: an hour of games, two beers each and transfers both ways for €52. Anyone keen to shoot can take the entry-level option, 25 rounds from three guns, for €80. All of these prices are per person.

Get to and from the airport by public transport or a ride-hailing app, and walk around the centre. Add up the programme, then add accommodation, flights and drinks outside the programme, and you have your budget. On Sunday, a late breakfast and a walk around Prague cost nothing extra.

Mid-range weekend: shooting, a boat and a club

The happy medium for a group that wants a bit of everything. On Friday a private minibus collects you at the airport; the return transfer is €36. In the evening, a guided walk through historic pubs for €44.

Saturday is for shooting: 50 rounds from five guns on an indoor range, transport included, for €116. In the evening, an hour on a private boat with unlimited drinks for €60, then Nebe club with a reserved table and cocktail credit for €72.

On Sunday, the beer spa for €88, so everyone flies home in better shape than they went to bed in. All the prices above are per person.

What sets this apart from the budget version is mainly private experiences just for your group and transport you never have to think about. Keep some money aside for food and drinks outside the programme here too.

Premium weekend: limo, army truck and a VIP table

When budget is not the main concern, go big. A stretch Cadillac or Hummer for 10 to 14 people meets you at the airport and the bubbly opens on the way to the hotel. An hour is €44 per person; the minimum is 10, and smaller groups pay for ten.

On Saturday you head to a military base outside Prague. One of you drives a Tatra T-815 army truck while the rest ride along, then everyone fires 25 rounds from a shotgun, an M4 and an AK-47. The whole afternoon is €160 per person. In the evening, a VIP section at Duplex above Wenceslas Square, with no queue and bar credit, for €180 per person.

18+ extras: what they add to the budget

Adult entertainment is optional. If your group does want it, it helps to know that most shows are priced for the whole group, not per person. A private 15-minute strip show costs €160 for the group, so with ten of you each person pays a tenth.

Darling Cabaret near Wenceslas Square is priced per person instead: guest list, a reserved table and drinks credit for €68 each.

How to save without it showing

Plan early. Popular activities and the cheaper options go first on weekends from May to September. Start 4 to 8 weeks ahead and you will have plenty to choose from.

Use group pricing. A boat, a show or a party bus priced as a whole gets cheaper per head as the group grows. Watch the minimums, though: if there are fewer of you, you pay for the minimum.

Pick experiences with drinks included. The party boat, the beer challenge and the beer bus all come with unlimited beer, so you know the spend in advance. Agree a kitty for drinks and taxis, and stay near the centre to save on transport.
